A. Physical Education attire
i. T-shirts must have sleeves
ii. Shorts must be appropriate length
iii. It is recommended that all sweats and shorts be black or navy and
that all shirts be white or gray. This will facilitate a prompt
attendance/preparation check.
B. NOT ACCEPTABLE in physical education class
i. Gum
ii. Jewelry
iii. Platform sneakers or hard-soled shoes
iv. Jackets or sweaters
v. Combs or brushes
C. Point deductions
i. Gum = -5
ii. No Sneakers = -5
iii. Not changed = -5
iv. Jewelry = -5
v. No participation = -5
vi. Safety hazard = -5
D. Grading
i. Grades will be based on preparation, participation and effort.
ii. Any written and/or skill test will count as a portion of the final
grade.
E. Student responsibilities for class
i. Upon arrival, students will quickly change for class and sit on
bench.
ii. Use assigned locker and lock; student is responsible for locking the
lock.
iii. Students will remain seated until the teacher dismisses them to the
gymnasium.
iv. Upon entering the gymnasium students will sit immediately in squads.
v. All doctor’s notes should be presented to the nurse during homeroom.
vi. Any excuse from the school nurse must be given to the teacher in the
locker room.
vii. All notes from parents must be presented to the teacher in the
locker
room. These notes may excuse a student for a maximum of two days.
A
doctor’s note is needed to be excused for more than two days.
viii. Clothes worn to school must be changed for class.
