Rules/Procedures

Homework will be given every day during the week and occasionally on the weekend. Students need
to show all work when doing their homework. If no work is shown, the students will not receive
credit for the homework. Homework will be accepted late for half credit only until Friday of
that week. If homework is not turned in by Friday, it will become a zero. At the end of the
marking period, the student’s homework grade will be counted as a quiz grade. Homework will be
listed every night on my website.

Students must have their homework books with them at all times. If a student does not do their
homework, I will write a note in their homework pads that day.

There will be at least one quiz or test given each week. A quiz will count once and a test will
count twice towards the student’s grade. All work needs to be shown on tests and quizzes to
receive credit. If no work is shown, then the student will not get credit for that problem.
All tests and quizzes must be signed by a parent and returned, even if it is a 100. A copy of
the test will be given to the student to keep in their folder or at home.

There will be several math projects assigned throughout the year. The students will have time
to work on them in class as well as at home. They will count as either a test or quiz depending
on the project.

There are several classroom procedures that need to be followed to provide a safe and successful
classroom environment. Students may only enter the classroom if the teacher is present.
Students will treat each other with courtesy and respect. No foul or abusive language will be
tolerated.
