Is my child allowed to go ahead on Study Island?
If you and your child are confident that they are familiar enough with the subject and can move on successfully without a mini lesson in the class than they may proceed. Remember, students are trying to achieve a blue ribbon on each section of Study Island.Back to Top
Are mechanical pencils acceptable?
No, mechanical pencils are made up of many small parts. Students have a tendency to play with them and the parts get lost. This causes a major distraction in the class. Yellow #2 pencils are best. They work well in the electric pencil sharpener. Plastic coated pencils with pictures jam the electric and small hand held sharpeners. This usually causes a disruption in the classroom.Back to Top
