Homework Review
We will review daily homework during class. If you do not have your homework
a ZERO will be placed in the gradebook. Students are required to make up the
work for no credit.

Classroom Rules:
Be honest. Show respect to everyone. Worry about yourself. Listen to the
person who is speaking. Complete work on time. Be responsible. Raise your
hand. Follow the Code of Conduct.

To get your attention:
GIVE ME FIVE
1.	Eyes on speaker.
2.	Quiet.
3.	Be Still.
4.	Hands free.
5.	Listen

Paper heading and paper passing out:
Students should use the proper heading on all papers. The heading is located
on the front of the board. Please note, no name on papers=no grade.

There will be a designated student to pass out any papers that need to be
returned to the class.

Absent work:
Please check the folders located near the windows. In the bin, you will
find anywork that needs to be made up as well as homework for the days that
you missed. Work is expected to be made up in the number of days that you
were absent (ex: 1 day absent=1 day to make up work). Any in class graded
work that was missed will be omitted in the gradebook. Any tests or quizzes
that are missed need to be scheduled to be made up. It is the students
responsibility to check the folders and to see me to find a good time for the
test/quiz to be made up.

Types of work expected:
1.	Tests
2.	Quizzes
3.	Homework
4.	Projects (in class and at home)
5.	Do Nows
6.	Famous New Jerseyans
**Extra credit will not be offered as a replacement of a grade. If you do
not do the work the first time, why should you receive extra credit?
However, extra credit points can be earned during review games or for
exceptional work at my discretion**

*There is an opportunity to improve scores by completing Science/SS/Math
related newspaper articles. This is allowed only for students who have no
missing assignments! Please see me for more information.*

*All graded assignments will be placed in test folders that are to be signed
and returned. Test folders go home on Wednesdays and it is part of the
students' homework to have them signed and returned on Thursday. Progress
reports will be issued to all students each quarter.*

I am looking forward to an exciting year!
