About The Teacher
We know we're a few days late on this, but we've FINALLY posted the 5 Finalists for our Best Website contest on our Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/TeacherWebInc
. You have from now until midnight next Wednesday, May 22nd, to vote on your favorite. The winner will receive a free year of TeacherWeb, and the 4 runners-up will get $15 Starbucks giftcards, so vote wisely! The Finalists' websites are posted in their own photo album on our Facebook page, so check those out first, visit the sites, click around, then come back and vote via our poll.
Thanks for your participation - we were amazed by all the entries and fantastic websites that we got to review, and if you didn't end up in the Top 5, know that it's because there are so many stellar educators out there using our products to reach their students and families that it was almost impossible for us to choose.
Thanks again,
The folks at TeacherWeb

At the beginning of class: 1. Please sit quietly. 2. Take out any homework or papers required for that day. 3. Copy new homework from chalkboard into assignment pad. 4. Begin working on Do Now located on chalkboard or Smartboard screen **The first 5 minutes of class should be used for sharpening pencils or using the bathroom. Please note, if I am speaking no pencils should be sharpened** Homework Review We will review daily homework during class. If you do not have your homework a ZERO will be placed in the gradebook. Students are required to make up the work for no credit. Homework is used as a way to gauge understanding and identify areas where reinforcement is needed. Please refer to the student agenda for a list of daily assignments. Classroom Rules: Be honest. Show respect to everyone. Worry about yourself. Listen to the person who is speaking. Complete work on time. Be responsible. Raise your hand. Follow the Code of Conduct. Paper heading and paper passing out: Students should use the proper heading on all papers. The heading is located on the front of the board. Please note, no name on papers=no grade. In addition, your class number should be placed in the upper right hand corner of each paper that will be handed in. Absent work: Please check the folders located near the chalkboard. In the folder, you will find any work that needs to be made up as well as homework for the days that you missed. Work is expected to be made up in the number of days that you were absent (ex: 1 day absent=1 day to make up work). Any in class graded work that was missed will be omitted in the gradebook. Any tests or quizzes that are missed need to be scheduled to be made up. It is the student's responsibility to check the folders and to see me to find a good time for the test/quiz to be made up. Types of work expected: 1. Tests 2. Quizzes 3. Homework 4. Projects (in class and at home) 5. Do Nows *All graded assignments will be sent home weekly. Students have a mailbox in our homeroom where they check their mail during homeroom time. Please refer to the parent portal for updates of test scores and grades. All failing tests must be signed and returned.* I am looking forward to an exciting year!
