About The Teacher

I am formally a Human Resources Manager who decided several years ago that
decided to pursue my life's dream of being a teacher. I followed up
with the courses I needed and now hold New Jersey State certification as an
Elementary School Teacher.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to New Jersey when I
married my Sayreville-born husband. We live in Sayreville with our two
daughters, ages 15 and 11, our 7 month old kitty Annie and hamster,
Frances.

Besides teaching, my favorite things are the New York Yankees and anything
to do with Disneyworld.

I graduated from Thomas Edison State College with a Bachelors of Science in
Business Administration, with a major in Human Resources. Last year, I
completed a Masters in Education Administration at St. Peter's College.

I will be your child's teacher for Language Arts. I very much love to read
and write, and hope to impart that love to your child.

For Math, your child will have Mrs. Payne.

For Science and Social Studies, your child will have Mrs. Moskal.

Your child has been placed in a team that truly care about your child's
success. I have the utmost respect for my colleagues and am confident you
will feel the same way once you get to know these ladies as well!

I strongly encourage communication between parent-teacher-student. Please
feel to call me at the school 732-316-4050 or send me a note or e-mail @
jpentek@sayrevillek12.net at any time. I am available for appointments at
your convenience and we can arrange conferences before or after school. I
promise to respond to your communications promptly and hope you will do the
same so that we can achieve the best education for your child. (E-mail is
the best way to reach me.)

Mission For The Class

To obtain a love in all areas of Language Arts: to know that reading and
writing are fun and important, in all areas of life.
