I went to William Paterson University on a scholarship where I earned my
degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Interpersonal
Communications. Shortly after I graduated, I accepted a position as a 5th
Grade Teacher in a school in Passaic, NJ. I remained there for three years,
one year as 5th Grade Teacher and two as a 2nd Grade Teacher. During
my stay in Passaic, I became the Language Arts Coordinator for my building.
This is where I learned various assessment strategies, along with teaching
strategies to help fine tune the Language Arts components for my students. I
am now attending St. Peter's College and working towards a Master of Arts in
Education. I am proud to say that this is my seventh year teaching and
fourth year in the Sayreville School District. I am looking forward to an
amazing 2011-2012 school year!
I believe that all children can learn! It is my mission to enable
students to work to the best of their ability. It is vital that every student
feels comfortable and confident in my classroom. All of my students
will have the opportunity to flourish and succeed. My goal is to remain
firm, fair, and consistent. It is my responsibility to meet every one of my
students' needs. Therefore, I am constantly furthering my teaching
strategies/methods in order to better educate all of my students.
