Although homework for Technology class is only given sporatically, students
who are looking to improve their skills in Technology class should practice
their touch typing.
If you have a typing program at home - use it! If you don't and you don't
want to spend the money try a free internet typing activity. Look on my
links page for some to try.
There are also many commercially available touch typing programs on the
market
and they're not very expensive. Usually there is at least one in the
Scholastic CLICK software order form each month. Order forms are outside
in my room (368) or you can order through www.scholastic.com. The
directions
are on my HOME Page also. You can also buy typing programs at office supply
stores, mass merchandisers and specialty stores that sell video games.
If you don't, but have access to a computer, open a blank Microsoft Word
document and start typing.
Remember to sit up straight in your chair, put your fingers on the home row
keys and keep your eyes on the screen instead of your hands.
