Monday, December 14th Today students completed a series of questions as if they were Holden. After, students found quotes to support the outcome of the evaluation. Homework: Read chapters 3 and 4 and complete the study guide. Tuesday, December 15th Today students read chapters 5 and 6 and then reread page 28 where Stradlater asks Holden to write an essay for him. Then, students were asked to choose an object that means a lot to them -- as much as the baseball glove did to Holden -- and write a four or five-paragraph, descriptive essay about their object. All essays were collected at the end of the period. Homework: Make sure all study guide journals are done for chapters 1 - 4. Wednesday, December 16th Today students reread pages 38 and 39, wrote the facts of the scene, and then wrote a descriptive essay about Holden's brother, Allie and his baseball mitt. Homework: Read chapters 7 and 8 and complete the study guide. There will be a quiz on 1 - 8 tomorrow (yes, vocabulary is on it!) Thursday, December 17th Friday, December 18th
