Elementary Students Reading Spanish

read between 15 - 20 books in
Spanish.

Crepe Day at Terrill

Mike Tuma, owner of Bonjour
Montclair, a creperie in
Montclair, NJ, set up his crepe
stand at Terrill Middle School in
November. Mike introduced
students of French teachers
Michelle Emanuel and Christine
Gallagher to the technique of
crepe making, after which all
enjoyed one of Mike's specialty
crepes.

Billy Johnston wins Travel Award

Billy Johnston, pictured with
Spanish teachers Diana
Marcantonio and Daniela Davidzon,
won the AATSP Bertie Green Junior
Travel Award and spent ten days
in Mexico this past July.

Park Students win Poetry Contest

Park students Sonali Kamath, with
her Spanish teacher Marie
Concepcion, and John DiBattista
with Italian teacher Linda
Lombardi, won awards at the World
Language Poetry Recitation
Contest at William Paterson
University in May. Sonali took
home a 2nd place trophy, while
John received an honorable
mention.
