WORLD LANGUAGE HONOR SOCIETY CRITERIA FOR INDUCTION
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT for nomination at the end of level 3 study
1. For students presently in Levels 3, 4 or 5:
Must have achieved a minimum grade of A- (90-92) average in Accelerated or a
minimum grade of A (93 - 96) in Academic and a minimum grade of A- (90-92) in
previous level Accelerated or an A (93 or higher) in previous level Academic.
SECONDARY CRITERIA:
2. Must have a minimum of two years of said language study at the high school
level.
3. Must commit to complete highest level of language sequence.
4. Must complete a minimum of 4 activities as a club member of said language.
All students in the Honor Society are evaluated each year to insure that their
grades are up to par. Failure to maintain the grade as explained above and to
demonstrate continued support and/or completion of the Honor Society’s service
requirement will result in dismissal and your name will be deleted from the
list of Chapter members at the National level. You will not be able to include
your membership in the Honor Society on your Senior Rave Sheets and/or College
applications.
All criteria must be met and maintained.
