About The Teacher
Bonjour mesdames et messieurs, my name is Mme. Schaffer, and I am delighted to be your French teacher this year! I was born in Portugal, but I moved to the United States when I was young. While most of my family lives in Portugal and the United States, I also have family all over the world! I attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where I studied French, English, and German and recently completed my Master's in French. I am happily married to Mr. Schaffer, whom I met while we were still in college. I speak Portuguese, Spanish, a little German, and (of course!) French and English! I enjoy hiking and traveling. I love to visit Europe and the western United States... and when I have time, which isn't very often, I love reading interesting books. Most recently, I became "une maman" to a furry friend, the best dog in the whole world!
