I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas Show on Friday. I am so proud of my
third graders. We had 100% attendance. This is our last full week before
Christmas. Next week is a short week. This week in LA we finish up our theme
on Wolves. Students will have a spelling and language arts test on Tuesday.
Skills include fantasy/reality, plural/singular nouns, punctuation and words
with the ch sound. In math we will finish up chapter 6 and have a chapter test
on Wednesday. The skills that will be tested are range, mode, mean, median,
line plots, pictographs, bar graphs and ordered pairs. In science we will
continue to study plant and animal life cycles as well as food chains. In
social studies we will focus on the Jamestown Settlement in Virginia. The
students will learn about the area then and now. In religion we will focus on
Chapter 10 which reviews the Apostles' Creed. There will be a test on Unit 2
after the New Year.

Don't forget to dress sown on Tuesday. This dress down is to collect money for
Heifer International. In addition to our regular schoolwork we will be making
cards and crafts for the elderly for Christmas. We will also practice for the
8:30 mass on Friday. Parts will be given out tomorrow. Check the communication
envelope for other details and information.

Make it a great week!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Monet Burns-Wilmott
