MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS: 1. Journal Entries on one of the following topics
will be due this Wed., Dec. 2. (This has been
postponed one day). The topics are as follows:
a. Write about the universal aspects of "Winter
Hibiscus."
b. Discuss the importance of the flashbacks and
of the metaphor of the winter hibiscus to the
short story's plot and theme.
2. Vocabulary for Achievement - Quiz on ? The date
will be announced on Monday for sometime this
week.
3. Literature: Where the Red Fern Grows: You are to
read the first four chapters of the novel for
this Friday.
