I hope you all had a beautiful Thanksgiving. And now, the Christmas
marathon begins! This week Kindergarten-2nd grade will be working with a
Math software program as well as investigating some holiday traditions.
Grades 3,4 & 5 will continue to expand their keyboarding skills with
new letter drills and review previously covered keys. In addition, a small
portion of class time will be spent using the Internet as a research tool to
discover additional information about various holiday traditions.
Grades 6 and 7 , in conjunction with the Writing Roadmap Program,
will be using Microsoft Word to create a writing log for an essay (and using
various tools in the process) and then will write an essay entitled, "What
Christmas Means to Me."
Grade 8 will continue to work on and complete their Saints project
which was interrupted by our Movie Day and the Thanksgiving Prayer Service.
In addition to their schoolwork, our students have a variety of
activities available this week. We start off with our annual St. Nick's Sale
(THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the "elves" from the parent population who make
this event possible), on Tuesday evening our Chorus, directed by Mrs. Savio,
will perform at the Brunswick Square Mall at 7 PM, and on Thursday we have
our Christmas Concert at 7 PM. God bless Mrs. Savio for her dedication to
our students, the performing arts and SBS!
I hope to see many of you at these various events. Have a blessed
week!
Love and prayers,
Mrs. Z
