Just a few reminders and updates:
Reading:
~We have been working on fact and opinion, please have your child
identify different facts and opinions on different topics. This is a little
difficult for some students so reinforcement of this skill at home will be
very helpful.
~ The new reading logs have been working out better for most students.
Please remember that logs will be collected EVERY FRIDAY.
~Spelling quiz every Tuesday
Language Arts:
~Students will be given a writing prompt this week. They will be guided
on how to write a five paragraph essay on the given prompt.
Math:
~Students will be having a Unit 2 Assessment this week. The topics
covered are multiplication, addition and subtraction, landmark data, and
number stories. Please practice multiplication facts with your child on a
daily basis. The students will receive a review sheet on Wednesday and the
assessment will be given on Thursday.
~Just added some great math links that offer practice for the skills that
we are working on. The first three that are listed will help with addition
and subtracting with regrouping. Just click on LINKS on the sidebar.
Everything Else:
~Please remember to check the homework link for updated homework.
