I am a graduate of the University of Maryland Education Program. I majored in
secondary education with a specialization in English and Speech Communication.
I have been teaching eighth grade English at Terrill Middle School for seven
years. I have a Master's Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom.
In my freetime, I like to read, write, and spend time with
family and friends.

a writer;
to encourage each student to embrace reading and writing challenges in order to
overcome and succeed; to foster an environment in which each student feels

comfortable expressing his or her thoughts.
Official Mission Statement:
In order to ensure the success of all my students, my mission as a teacher is
to achieve and maintain a level of teaching excellence. I wish to make
learning fun for students while celebrating diversity and recognizing and
responding to students' multiple learning styles and individual differences. I
will create a teaching environment where students will be nurtured and treated
with respect, and in return I will expect cooperation and respect. I have high
expectations for my students regarding academics and appropriate behavior. I
strive to challenge them everyday. As a result, my goal is for my students to
become life-long learners and productive members of society.
