I have been teaching at Terrill Middle School since September 2002. I have
an undergraduate degree in Teacher of the Handicapped and have earned two
masters degrees. One Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and
a M.S. in Education degree with a specialization in Integrating Technology in
the Classroom from Walden University.
While not teaching, I love to read, cook, travel, exercise and spend time with
family and friends. My husband and I reside in Union County
with our two daughters. Although I have come into teaching as a second
career, I love being an educator and feel I have found my true passion.
In order to ensure the success of all my students, my mission as a teacher
is to achieve and maintain a level of teaching excellence. I will be
conscious of and model ethical and moral behavior at all times. I wish to
make learning fun for students while celebrating diversity, while
recognizing and responding to students' multiple learning styles and
individual differences. I will create a teaching environment
where students will be nurtured and treated with respect, and in return I
will expect cooperation and respect. Have high expectations for my
students academically, behaviorally and socially; striving to challenge them
every day. Focus on creating independent thinkers, cooperative learners and
self-starters. As a result, my goal is for my students to become thinking,
life-long learners and productive members of society.
