Welcome to Room 5!
This will be my fifteenth year teaching in Upper Township. I live in
Ocean City with my husband, Dan and daughter. My daughter, Jennifer,
is a junior at the Ocean City High School. I have a son, Chris who
is a Marine, and is currently stationed in California. I love spending time
at the beach with my family. Late afternoons on the beach are spent playing
handball (I usually win!:)
I grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania and then went to Elizabethtown
College. I have a Masters in Education from Marygrove College. I have been
living at the beach for over twenty years now, and I love it.
My mission is to create a positive atmosphere where every child in the
classroom feels accepted for who they are. In order to reach this type of
learning climate I will model respect for all students, and encourage the
students to find their positive attributes on a daily basis. I will set high
expectations for my students, and at the same time give them the tools
needed to meet these expectations.
