Math: In class, we went over our quizzes on area and perimeter of a triangle. We did Problem 4.2, 
pgs 53-55 in class.

Science: In class we went to the Rivera Research Institute via Computer and were able to determine 
the two best alternate energy sources for that particular geological region.  We also were able to see 
a virtual demonstration of the formation of coal from swamp plants to anthracite. Students took 
notes and saw how the formation went from one stage to the next. 
HW: Know the 6 stages of coal formation.

Dec. 10th:
Math: In the first 30 minutes we spent 20 min. taking the first part of our quiz (Naming polygons and 
determining if 3 given sides would always form a triangle and why?) We will continue that quiz 
tomorrow with naming polygons and drawing lines of symmetry and reflections which are 
transformations formed using lines of symmetry.
The last 1hour students rec'd their spreadsheets back and were given the opportunity to correct their 
mistakes before the grade was assigned. Most did those corrections and rec'd a 100 for a quiz 
grade, They spent the rest of the hour creating a power point of the "stuff" they wanted for gifts. 
They will complete this power point tomorrow my including their spreadsheet in the power point.

Science: Today, we checked Chapter Review 1-16. in S-1  We will check all of the review tomorrow in

Science: In Class, we read over conclusions to our labs and noted mistakes. We began a lab of How to 
measure mass of matter using the triple-beam balance.  We will complete this tomorrow.
           Homework: Correct Conclusion on Lab and Complete Final Draft of Video Notes from Rough 
           Notes taken on Friday.

Homework: Complete Directed Reading for a grade. For those away, please 
important notes on each 
section of these pages and I will count those notes as a grade or if you can 
get Dir. Read.A online, 
you may do and turn in for a grade.


November 3rd
Math: In Mah, we took the Math Test on Inv. 1 and 2, No homework.
Science: In class, we worked on completing the conclusion questions in "The 
Magic Behind the Gas 
Laws"  Homework: Complete the questions if you didn't finish in class.

Science: In class, we continued working on our "The Magic Behindf the Gas 
Laws". Science 1 had a

Math: In class, we went over a  bell-ringer solving problems using different 
strategies. We checked

Science:: Today we continued "The Magic Behind the Gas Laws". Using Charles' 
Law, a hard-boiled 
egg was "drawn" into a flask.

October 29th
Math:  In class, we completed 6 problems related to buying gas for our car.
            Homework:  Additional Practice  Investigation 2 (WS)
Science: In class, we did an experiment with marshmallows inside a syringe to 
demonstrate Boyle's       
Gas Law. We then proceeded to crush a soda can using Charles' Gas Law. 
           Homework: None


October 28th
Math: Checked 2.5 in class. Took a quick quiz on comparing fractions by cross-
multiplying
           Did ACE ?'s 8-18, 28-36, 41 and 42 in group, No homework.
Science: Checked Section Review. Learned motions for Boyle's Law and Charles' 
Law.
