About The Teacher

I thank you for the privilege of teaching your children math and science
this year. I have been teaching for some 30 years, 18 of those years in
Upper Township. Since coming into the district in 1990, I have taught 7th
grade science, 8th grade science, 7th grade math, 6th grade math, and 6th
grade science. I thoroughly enjoy teaching. My greatest reward is to see
the "light bulb" light up in a student's eyes and here him/her say, "I got
it!" That is the joy of teaching. I have learned over the years that once a
student is organized on the outside, they gain confidence and feel more
organized on the inside. Self-discipline, through organization, is an
expectation I have for myself and my students as we continue this academic
journey together.
I am a wife, mother of two, grandmother of six. Loving my family is one
of my passions.
I am available to you before 7:30 each day and after
2:30 each day. I will gladly set up an appointment with you and your child if
the need arises. Please call at
628-3500, Ext 274.

Mission For The Class

Organization is the key to success in life. If we arrive to class with all
the tools necessary for learning (Students have a list of those tools inside
their binders.), know exactly where those tools are when we need them, be
attentive and ask questions, we will learn. Thomas Edison once said, "Genius
is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration." We must come with a desire to learn
and continue to be diligent to work toward achieving the goals we have set
forth as meaningful to our individual and corporate success.

With parental assistance, all students will know their basic math facts by
the end of 2nd marking period. I will test your child's knowledge of these
facts in the beginning of school and will send you the results so that you
will be able to know exactly where to begin to help your child do the hard
work of learning these basic facts. His/her confidence in math will soar!

Science and math are hands-on, cooperative subjects. Let's have fun learning!
