Current Science Magazine Article: Students will read the assigned articles and take notes which they will use for the quiz. This assignment is two fold. First, it will help students identify the importnt facts in an article which they will use for the open note quiz. Second, the students will be exposed to a variety of subjects that deal with science. This will give the student a more well rounded experience in science. Because I need to share my copies of the magazine with all of my classes students are given two opportunities to take the magazines out over night to read the articles and take notes. They can also read the articles during class after the class work is complete. The notes are worth 2 points for each test so they must be attached to the quiz when they are handed in.

Articles assigned from this issue of Current Science are: Blood Thirst pg.4 and In Living Color pg.6

The next quiz will be on May 19, 2009

Each class will be given time to read silently and take notes during classes before the test date and two over night dates as listed below. It is your responsiblity to sign out magazine on your nights. The Magazine must be returned the next class period.
