WELCOME TO FIRST GRADE!! A new year is beginning and I want to welcome everyone to first
grade. It will be a fun year of learning new and exciting things. The students will grow in
many ways and they will leave first grade as fluent readers, creative writers and wonderful
mathematicians. It is my honor to teach your children to become the best students they can
be in a fun learning atmosphere. This will also be a year the students will become independent
workers. They will also be making new friends that hopefully last throughout their school
years. Our classroom motto is "TO DO OUR VERY BEST IN ALL WE DO" and my goal is for every
child to leave first grade knowing they are successful students.
