KID WRITING
Dear Parents,
We started Kid Writing this week. You will see your child's work coming home. Please take time to read
this Kid Writing with your child. Also encourage them to do some writing at home. I let them draw
anything they want. Then I ask them what their picture is about and help them come up with a simple
sentence. Then they write independently. I only help with stretching the words for sounds and spacing
between words. After they have finished writing then I write in grown up writing underneath it. Please
praise them for any effort they make. We want to encourage them to take chances in their writing.
