Parents and Students:

Bonjour/Hola! I am Madame/Sra. Garcia and Welcome to my 2012/2013 French or Spanish class! .  In our language class, we will expand our knowledge of French or Spanish conversation skills, vocabulary, culture, and grammar. In order to improve and reinforce your listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities in the target language, we will work out of our textbook, complete worksheets, watch DVDs, listen to CDs, complete projects,  use the Smartboard and have a lot of conversations in realistic situations.  Learning another language such as French or Spanish requires a lot of time to study and practice.  It is cumulative so we are always building on what we have already learned, and for now the most important thing that I expect in my classroom from my students is to try their best and have a positive attitude toward a foreign language learning.

I look forward to an exciting and productive school year with my students, which I hope will result in a life-long love of different languages and cultures.
