Band Lessons - for today are as follows:

Reminder that there is a COMBINED BAND rehearsal for all members today after school from 2:45 -
3:30 in the band room.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! - V.M.S. Jazz Band will be holding auditions next Monday and
Wednesday immediately after school. If you are interested, please sign up on the band room door
for an audition time. You will also need to pickup an audition piece to prepare from Mr. Clark. All
instruments are welcome to try out.
Show Choir - The show choir will rehearse today during period 7 in the cafe. Reminder: Rehearsal
Dec. 10th after school is canceled.
Choir - The choir shirts have arrived. Students may pick up their shirts during HR or after school any
day in room 15.

Chocolate Club - begins today. Please check the club bulletin board for your session.
The Battle of The Books Club - begins Wednesday, Dec 9, after school in the library. If you like to
read, please come and find out what this club is about. If you can't attend the meeting, you can still
join the club.
The Pep Club - is in need of members for the upcoming Challengers season. Decorating will take
place next Tuesday and Wednesday in room 207. Permission slips are available on the club bulletin
board.
Reminder to all Geography Bee members - the qualifying test will be next Wednesday. If you did not
receive a study packet, and would like to take the test, please see Ms. Grogaard by the end of today.
Canteen – will be held this evening from 8-10:00 PM
Ms. Vihonski's 7th Grade Workshop is canceled today. They will attend a Bergen Brain Busters meet
on Monday afternoon.
Attention All Students - Come join the spelling bee club! Information about the VMS Spelling Bee
was distributed today in your Friday folder. Get your permission slip signed and come join the fun!

Attention 8th graders! - Are you interested in being this year's mascot? If so, please sign-up in the
main office today, or before the end of the day on Monday. A mascot try-out will be held on
Tuesday, December 8th after school. Any questions please see Mrs. Gallotta or Miss Iandoli
Community Service - The Newcombers Club is looking for volunteers to help out with Breakfast with
Santa on Saturday, December 12th from 9:00 until 12:30 pm. A sign-up sheet is located in the
office. Please see Ms. Purcella or Mr. Dean if you have any questions.
The girls' basketball team - will practice today until 4:30.
Attention Cheerleaders – Fundraiser money for candles is due today.
