Announcements

Welcome to the website! I look forward to a fun and exciting
year in third grade! We are off to a great start! Remember- don't hesitate
to call or email me with any questions!
11-9-09 In Language Arts, we are reading stories that are part
of a theme called What A Team!. If you would like to check out related
books, look for stories that have people and animals working together to do
special things and accomplish goals. We are working on writing three
paragraph responses to given prompts. Introductory, detail, and closing
paragraphs are necessary. On the homework, please push your child to give
their very best effort!

In math, the children have adjusted well to the switching of
classes. We have started our second unit which focuses on organizing and
graphing data. If anyone would like a student handbook to keep at home,
please contact me. This explains how problems are to be completed in our
math series.

We continue to work on our science unit! Continents are finished
and we will not go back to social studies until science is completed. These
subjects will continue to flip-flop. We are working on the metric system.
Next, we will go back to social studies, and study communities and cultures.

* Remember one Our Times is due per month. November is completed.

The children have been given a new set of consequences to breaking the
classroom rules that were agreed upon the first day of school. There are as
follows: Warning 1- Reminder
Warning 2- Second reminder with minutes off recess
Warning 3- Full recess and an apology note
Warning 4- A note to mom or dad, plus warning number three
         Warning 5- Mr. Frinzi's office
The classroom rules are : be respectful, be quiet when others are talking or
working, show self-control, take care of materials, and be kind to others. I
will let you know if your child has reached warning three or higher and why.
Thank you for your support!
