| Check over your child's homework each night.
Continue to review addition and subtraction facts daily through 18. This
will help your child develop "Fact Power."
Please review spelling and sight words each night. Make sure to review the
old words as well as the new ones. Encourage your youngster to write
sentences with these words and he/she can earn a gold slip.
Try to read twenty minutes each night. Ask your child about a "just right
book." Try to find one at home and enjoy watching the "magic" that occurs as
your child's reading ability improves. Let me know about the results and a
gold slip can be earned for your child.
Your youngster should bring to school 5 sharpened pencils each day.
We will have homework daily. However, there will be no homework over the
weekend or vacations.
