Nifty Fifty Thrifty Quiz on Tuesday 11/20/07
Know how to spell November's 7 new words. Understand what parts are the prefix, suffix and root. Be able to write them in a sentence.
Bonus will be to spell October Words
Reader's Workshop Homework HOME READING LOG Students will read at least 20 minutes a night their JUST RIGHT book and write a response using one of the 15 sentence starters on their Home Reading Log. Students should log 4 times a week. Please write 2-3 sentences showing how you think when you read. While reading write post-it notes to record what you are thinking. Your responses on the reading log can come right from your post-it notes. Home Reading Logs will be collected on FRIDAY. Please sign your child's responses on Thursday night and remind them to bring it in on Friday. In school on Monday they will receive a new, blank reading log to begin again for that week. HAPPY READING!
Writer's Workshop Homework
Write 10 minutes in your Writer's Notebook each week night*(no writing homework over the weekend) using the strategies we have learned this week:
*Check Agenda nightly for homework assignments. Some weeks will have Writing homework every night and some will have it only 2 times a week
