How Can Children See The Student Assistance Specialist?
Children may ask their teacher to make an appointment.
Children may leave a personal request at the Student Assistance Specialist’s office.
Parents may request that the Student Assistance Specialist see their child.
The teacher may suggest it to the child.
The Student Assistance Specialist may invite the child to a meeting.
The Student Assistance Specialist Helps Children:
- Develop a positive feeling about themselves and others.
- Develop problem-solving techniques and coping skills.
The Student Assistance Specialist Helps Your Child’s Teacher By:
- Consulting on students’ individual needs.
- Helping to establish a positive learning environment.
- Developing education strategies through the Student Assistance Committee
