Sept. 21, 2009 Arithmetickles 9:30 and 10:30am October 29, 2009 Meet the Musicians: Stephen Foster 9:30am and 10:30am January 14, 2010 SSUNA: Eda Ne Kakati (From Past to Present) 1:15 and 2:15pm March 10th 2010 Irish Celebration Arts Horizons 1:15 and 2:15pm May 25, 2010 Willow Girl • ARITHMETICKLES: We welcome the school year with a group of performers who demonstrate how math can be fun, thus educating our students with ways to incorporate math into their daily lives. Performers use comedy, mime, theater, fast-paced math games and tricks to grab their audience. • MEET THE MUSICIANS: It is a long-standing tradition at Warnsdofer to invitethe very talented Dennis Kobray to welcome our students to the new and exciting the school year at Warnsdorfer. This season Mr. Kobray introduces the music of Stephen Foster to our school while setting the historic background of the time in which Foster lived. Mr Kobray has in the past enlightened our students to the music of Bach, Beethoven and Joplin. • SSUNA: Eda Ne Kakati (From Past to Present): Our guest performer introduces us to the song, dance, music, costumes and stories of his Ugandan homeland. This African Drummer was voted Young Audience’s 2008 Artist of the Year! • CELTIC CELEBRATION: Performers come in full Irish garb and captivate the audience with Irish flutes, singing, bag pipes. The history and culture of Ireland and Scotland are explored. Excited volunteers are called upon to assist with the performances. • CATSKILL PUPPETEERS, “WILLOW GIRL”: Pre-K and Kindergarteners through Grade 2 students will enjoy the story of the difficulties immigrant children experience in a small American community. This play is presented in recognition of Diversity Day. Grades 3-5 will be involved in another event.
