My teaching career began at Ridgeway Elementary School in September 1984!
I started out as a second grade teacher, then moved up to third grade. In 2010
I transferred to Whiting School to teach the fourth grade. I truly believe
that 4th grade is where I really belong!
I have lived in Manchester most of my life, graduating from Manchester High
School in 1980. My Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education is from Glassboro
State College. I also have a Master's Degree from Georgian Court College in
Educational Administration. I recently completed a post-graduate program at
Kean University, so you can see that I am a life-long learner!
I live with my husband, Dave, and my two daughters, Kendall and Casey.
Kendall is a junior at Manchester High and Casey is in 8th grade at the Middle
School. The newest member of our family is a two year old Yorkie! His name is
King Elvis Presley Kiernan and he is so cute!!!
I love to have fun! Along with teaching, my favorite things to do are
spend time with my family and friends, go shopping, and read!
Whiting School is very special to me, for it is my home town! I was a
student at Whiting many years ago! This is where I went for K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd,
and believe it or not, 7th and 8th grades! This school has always been very
special to me. Both my parents attended this school. They graduated from the
eighth grade here in 1955! They were in the first 8th grade graduating class,
and I was in the last class to attend Whiting for 8th grade! It is great to
be back here, where it all began for me. I am looking forward to meeting my
new students!
My goal is for all students to learn in a fun way, to work hard, and become
model citizens.
