Please feel free to call me at home after school hours at 732-691-5063 (especially if it is something I need to know by the end of the day) How is my child being assessed?
What will happen if I forget my homework the next day? We will arrange a time for you to make up the work and you will be given a missing assignment note that must be signed by your parent. How much time should I spend on my homework each night? You should spend about 10- 30 minutes each night. Can we bring water bottles to class? Water bottles are welcome in class. Water bottles have to stay on the counter top or in the frig. Is there anything at home I can do to help my child? 1. Read, read, read. Children learn to read by reading. Depending on your child's level, you and/or your child can read together. After you read discuss the story. 2. Help your child read words in their environment. 3. Count things by ones, twos, fives, and tens. 4. Give your child paper to write letters, words, and their name. 5. Have them make lists or write a letter to someone. |
