MATH: When do we normally have homework?
You can expect to have homework every night, Monday through
Thursday, and even sometimes Friday. Homework is assigned for a
reason and is very important so that you can practice for quizzes
and tests. Sometimes it will even be collected without notice and
graded.
What are the rules/guidelines in our class?
1. Show respect for everyone and everything in our classroom and
our school.
This includes showing respect for our classmates, our learning
materials,
our school facilities, our teachers, and ourselves!
2. Come to class on-time and prepared to learn and participate in
our class.
3. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
4. Observe all rules in the student handbook.
What are the consequences for breaking a rule?
First time: Verbal warning.
Second time: Twenty minute recess detention
Third time: After-school detention
Forth time: After-school detention, call home to parent/guardian
Fifth time: After-school detention, call home to parent/guardian,
write-up,
sent to office
Severe disruptions: Immediately written up and/or sent to office
What are some rewards for following the rules?
Verbal Praise: daily
Positive Notes/Calls/E-mails home: random
Engaging Mathematics Activities/Games: weekly

Various positive perks: throughout year
