What does the PTA do for Bandelier?
*The Bandelier PTA Music Program, which works to bring weekly classroom
music instruction to all Bandelier students.
* Support of the Art in the School, Inc. program; AIS volunteers provide
many hours of supplementary classroom art instruction.
* Welcome Back Cruise -- a welcome for new parents giving them information
designed to enhance the Bandelier experience; a chance for returning parents
to get re-acquainted; combined with the Volunteer Job Fair offering plenty of
opportunity to get involved
* Our annual Bear-a-thon fundraiser, which provides a significant portion
of the PTA's general budget. We appreciate your support of this FUNdraiser!
* Sponsorship of buses for class field trips.
* Support of the PTA Clothing Bank.
* Teachers' Fund -- discretionary funds to supplement classroom materials
and otherwise directly benefit our students.
* Sponsorship of Curriculum Enrichment activities, such as musical
performances and special assemblies.
* Supplemental PE Equipment.
* Scholastic Book Fairs in Fall and Spring, which benefit the Bandelier
Library.
* The annual, fun-filled Halloween Carnival, which has been held almost
every year since the school was founded over 60 years ago.
* An annual Community Event, an opportunity for the Bandelier community to
visit, enjoy student musical performances, and attend evening hours of the
Book Fair. This year we're hosting an Ice Cream Social & Poetry Slam.
* The annual Bandelier Bazaar, a fabulous arts & crafts fair showcasing work
by community artists and our very own Banda Bears.
* Lower-cost or free scholarships for PTA activities to those in need.
