In general, Daily assignments will include:
Read for 20 minutes F.O.R.L. (fill out Reading Log)
Bring Reading Log on Friday
Math: "Everyday Math" worksheet or practice math facts 10 minutes
Thurs: Study for Friday's spelling test
Weekend:
Read 30 minutes F.O.R.L. (fill out yellow weekend Reading Log sheet)
Practice math facts 20-30 minutes
Goal: students should achieve automaticity with addition
and subtraction math facts by mid-year
: study of multiplication and division facts will
commence mid-year.
Specific daily assignments are tracked by students using the AGENDA
PARENTS, please monitor (and assist with) homework. Please sign your initials
at the end of each day/column in the Agenda as a confirmation that
you have monitored/participated in your child's homework.
