December 19, 2009 Dear Families, Thank you all for sending the snacks and treats for Thursday's winter celebration! Thanks to Nick's mom, Ulla's mom and Chloe's mom for hosting crafts tables, and thanks to Abbie's mom, Julie's mom and Nathaniel's mom for joining us as well. It was a great time! We had a wonderful week- reading the Swedish tale of the magical Tomtens with Ms Hendrickson and then creating clay Tomtens of our own; joining Ms Casado's class to make poinsettas and celebrating with traditional biscochito cookies while watching an educational video to learn about winter holidays of Kwanzaa, Hannukkah an Christmas; joining Ms Houser's class to play multiplication baseball; and caroling to Ms Carrie's and Ms Garcia's classes.
