<div><strong>FIELD TRIP: </strong> On December 11 we will be visiting the planetarium at the Career Enrichment Center.  We will use public transportation and plan on eating sack lunches on the CEC campus.  It is VERY important that students come to school this day wearing warm layers of clothing and bringing plenty of food and water.  Please make sure this happens.  If you would like to join us, let us know so we can include you in this fun day of extended learning for our earth & space science unit.  <br />

<div> <strong>HOLIDAY POTLUCK:</strong>  Come join our class for a multi-cultural celebration of holidays from around
the world!  On Deember 18 we will have a potluck lunch, watch a slide show of student
candids, and a class performance.  The party will be from 1:05 PM to 2:05 PM.  We hope
you can make it!   </div>

<div><strong>GIFT EXCHANGE:  </strong>On December 18 we will have a white elephant gift exchange.  Each student is asked to recycle something from home (a book, stuffed animal, whatever) that is no longer being used by the family.  It should be gently used, have a value of $5 or less, and be for a boy or a girl.  Please bring the wrapped gift on this day in order to receive one from someone else in return.  </div>

<strong>QSP READER DIGEST FUND RAISER:</strong>  Packets for fund raising
has been sent home to help raise funds for the Bandelier PTA general
fund which is used for financing programs to support student learning
such as field trips.  These are INTERNET-ONLY orders (we are limiting
paper waste) so please follow the directions found in the packet if you
would like to place an order.  <br />
