THANKS GRANDMA!: Collis' Grandma, Mrs. Sengel, has been coming in and working with the kids on some great recycle, reuse, reduce waste art projects. We have made time capsules and those GREAT school buses with the the kids pictures! The boxes were going to be thrown away and she got them for us to make all sorts of cool things with them! Our next box project is a snowman! So if you see Mrs. Sengel let her know how cool we all think she and her art projects are!!! THANKS A MILLION!!

NUTCRACKER ON THE ROCKS: On Dec. 3rd, we will be going to the Nutcracker on the Rocks. This is a "dress in your best" occasion. We will be taking a school bus to the "theater" (to be read in a snobby voice). We will be eating lunch in the classroom before we leave, if you would like me to order a lunch for your child from the cafeteria please let me know by Fri. Nov. 20th. Update: All the Nutcracker tickets have been spoken for I even got 2 extra tickets! The volunteers for this field trip are :

EXPLORA WITH OUR BUDDIES: On Dec. 4th, we will be going to Explora with our Big Buddy class (Mr. Beg's 5th graders). We will be walking to the city bus, take the bus to Old Town then walk to Tiguex park, eat lunch in the park then it is off to Explora! We will leave here approx. 10:00 and return approx. 2:30. If you want me to order a lunch for your child from the cafeteria please let me know by Nov. 20th. If you would like to join us on this field trip please let me know by email, note or in person. Three volunteers will get in free if we have more than 3, parents will have to pay entrance fee of $6.00 (if you have an Explora pass you, the parent, can use it to get in free but your child will still have to pay the $6.00 entrance fee with the class). TRADITIONS/CUSTOMS/CELEBRATIONS: Halloween kicks off our Fall/Winter traditions/customs/celebrations unit. We will be studying different traditions/customs/celebrations that happen especially in the Fall/Winter. If you or your family have a tradition, custom or celebration you would like to share with our class please let me know so we may arrange a time to have you come in to the class and share with us your particular tradition, custom or celebration.
