Fundation Tests
100% = 4
99%-80% = 3
79%-60% = 2
59%-0% = 1
Math Fact Tests
Test 2, Test 3 = 4
Test 1 with 7 Rows completed and correct= 4
Test 1 with 4-6 Rows completed and correct= 3
Test 1 with 2-3 Rows completed and correct= 2
Test 1 with less than 20 problems completed and correct= 1
Everyday Math
-Classwork done in workbook: problems mastered are determined by Teacher’s
manual.
-Math Assessments will cover topics that should be mastered as well as
concepts that should be mastered at a later time.
4= Student shows understanding beyond standard expectations
ex. Student should be able to tell time to the quarter hour. If a student
demonstrates they can tell time down the minute, they are showing mastery.
3=Student is able to complete problems according the standard expectations
2=Student shows understanding of concept inconsistently
1= Student shows little to no understanding of the concept
Independent Classwork
All in-class work being completed accurately, plus extra= 4
Majority of work completed and correct=3
Many pieces of classwork incomplete=2
Little to no classwork completed=1
Reading
DRA (Reading Assessment) Level 18/20 is on grade level at the beginning

Fluency should be at 51 wpm. Books will be sent home to help students in need
Comprehension-Student is able to retell the main events of a story in
sequence. The DRA expects children to begin expressing their comprehension
through writing at level 28 of DRA.
Writing
Rubrics are being developed to score writing with the standardized grading
system.
For the first grading period, I am looking at conventions. Do students
consistently use capitals, end marks correctly. Are they using correct grammar
and are they able to stay on topic while adding supporting details?
Science/Social Studies
Student always participates in activities, shows mastery of information
presented through assessments, adds new information to class
discussions = 4
Student always participates in activities and shows learning through assessments=3
Student sometimes participates in activities and shows some learning through
assessments =2
Student rarely participates in activities and shows little to no learning
through assessments=1
Homework
Student always turns in homework, complete and on time=4
Student often turns in homework, complete and on time=3
Student often turns in homework, late and/or incomplete=2
Student rarely turns in homework, complete and on time=1
Happy Face= done for practice. Acceptable work
FIX= done for practice. Student needed extra help with concept.
