Things to Think About for the First Day
1. Label all supplies, lunch box, and backpack with your child’s name.
2. If you pick your child up, arrange a meeting place with your child for
after school. If they go to daycare or Children’s Choice, please show them
where they need to go after school.
3. We will be lining up in the courtyard before school (I’ll show the kids
where) from the second day on. You may drop your child off at the classroom
for the first day.
4. Please be prepared to get your child settled and then wave good-bye! Once
parents have left, it is easier for the class to start creating a routine and
begin developing a classroom community.
5. Please check with the cafeteria if you are unsure if your child needs lunch
money. Most parents find paying a lump sum by check is easier than sending
money with their child daily.
