FOUR SQUARE/TWO SQUARE RULES
How To Play
The first four or two players begin by standing inside one of the 4 squares. The player in court number 1 serves the ball into any of the other 3 courts. That player returns the ball back to any court. Play continues like this until a player allows a ball to bounce twice in their court, hits the ball out of the court, spikes the ball, or is unable to successfully return the ball to another court. If a player does any of those thing that player rotates out of the game, either by going to the end of the wait line, or to court number 4 if there are only four players. The other players in the game rotate up to the empty space. (The player on court #4 moves to 3, #3 moves to 2 and # 2 move to 1) If there are more than four players, the first waiting player enters at court number 4. – Every new round is served by the player in court #1.
Getting Out:
A player is out if: 1. The ball bounces from your square to outside the boundries of the court 2. The ball bounces from your square to another player’s square without you be able to touch it. 3. The ball bounces in your square twice. Also called “doubles” 4. They hit the ball and it goes outside the bounds of the court. 5. They hit the ball in such a way that their fingers are pointed upwards. This is call an “up hit” 6. They hit the ball before it bounces once in their square. This is called an “airhit” 7. They hit the ball after it has bounce in another player’s square. This is called a wrong ball, or RB. 8. They get hit by the ball and cannot return it. 9. They hit the ball and it does not bounce once before entering another player’s square. 10. They touch the ball twice in a row. (this may also include the server) 11. LINES ARE IN – the receiver is responsible for any ball hit on the line. 12. The first person standing in line is the referee and decides if a foul has occurred, or a person is out.
Banned 4 square moves “Babies” – the name for a hit that bounces less than 10 cm off the ground and goes across a very small horizontal distance “Footsies” – when the ball is hit by the leg or foot rather than the hand “Don’t accept” – you must always accept a serve it it is in your square and hit correctly “Hold” or Grabs” – You may not hold or grab the ball unless you are about to serve the ball “Interceptions” – you must wait for the ball to bounce inyour square. You may not intercept it “Lobs” – you may not hit a ball into another person’s square without first bouncing it in yours “Liner” – All balls hit on a line are considered “in” & if no player continues, it is a re-do
HOPSCOTCH
The first player stands behind the starting line to toss her or his marker in square 1. Hop over square 1 to square 2 and then continue hopping to square 10, turn around, and hop back again. Pause in square 2 to pick up the marker, hop in square 1, and out. Then continue by tossing the stone in square 2. All hopping is done on one foot unless you get to a two foot block, then two feet can be place down with one in each square. A player must always hop over any square where a marker has been placed. A player is out if the marker fails to land in the proper square, the hopper steps on a line, the hopper looses balance when bending over to pick up the marker and puts a second hand or foot down, the hopper goes into a square where a marker is, or if a player puts two feet down in a single box. The player puts the marker in the square where he or she will resume playing on the next turn, and the next player begins.
SQUASH
Players line up behind the backstop – two players step out in front of the back stop and take turns kicking the ball against the backstop. When receiving a kick you may stop or trap the ball before returning it, but you must kick it from where you stopped it. You cannot scoot it closer to the backstop. When a player gets out they go to the end of the waiting line, and the next person steps out. The person who stays in is the server.
KICKBALL
There are a few variations to this game, but the general rules are similar to baseball or softball. First the players form two equal teams. One team lines up to kick, and the other team assumes fielding positions (as in softball). Here are the differences.

TETHERBALL One player serves by throwing or hitting the ball in one direction. The other player standing on the other side of the pole, tries to hit the ball back. They then continue knocking the ball back and forth, each person trying to keep it going in their direction. Someone wins when the ball goes their way so far that the rope wraps around the pole and the ball hits the pole and stops spinning. Fouls (Tetherball goes to opponent)
