What is Play Day?
Play day is a special Bandelier end of the school year event in which the
students get to participate in all sorts of different fun outdoor physical
education activities. In past years we have had a general theme, and many
of the activities included water.
When is Play Day?
Play Day is usually held on one of the last school days of the year.
Sometime in the middle to end of May.
How can I help with Play Day?
Play Day has been a great success for Bandelier for several years primarily
due to the help of the many parent volunteers, the PTA, and our wonderful
6th grade academy. The primary needs at this early part of the year are
possible ideas for activities, themes, or any special performances or guests
that you may have contact with. I would like to continually change many of
the activities from year to year, and it would be great if would could add
some different ideas to this fun event. If you have any ideas just send me
an E-mail or stop by the gym. As we get closer to the event I will be
asking for many volunteers to help run activities, and chaperone classes.
