  • HMWK: paragraph model writing (online)to be SUBMITTED; read through page 23; use focus questions and vocabulary as needed (both online as well)

Friday / Monday 6th and 9th  

  • share paragraphs; discuss; close analysis example (page 20 and 21)  
  • HMWK: read through page 45; Close Analysis 1: Character Description of Zeena OR Ethan, specific words for support and connotation based on these chapters

Tuesday / Wednesday 10th and 11th  

  • trade and read homework; discuss reading; Close Analysis: Action; pickles and dishes and big ole symbolism
  • HMWK: read through 61; focus on tone

Thursday / Friday 12th and 13th 

  • discuss; pressures of insular communities vs. responsibilities – in a community, what is morality generally based upon?
  • HMWK: finish the novella; final close analysis (online)
