I have been teaching and coaching at Bosque School for 14 years. Each year affords to me new professional and personal growth through teaching to and knowing each student. Starting out in the corporate fitness world while pursuing a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology, I found myself working with persons in the teenage years. I slowly developed the idea to pursue education as a career and went on to earn a Masters of Arts in teaching. Having taught and coached youth for more than a decade has only strengthened my resolve to continue to educate students on the importance of physical fitness beyond the classroom. Through technology our society has steadily developed into promoting a less active lifestyle and a means of convenience to avoid movement in a number of ways. Sport and exercise are the only means left by which we can keep our bodies healthy and lead a life full of energy.
Fundamentals of skill associated with movement and sport, with emphasis on physical well being. Understanding of our basic muscle structure and the interrelationships therein. Understanding that function follows form with skills and muscles. Promote lifelong physical activity among youth as well as skills, knowledge and attitudes useful for enjoyment of these activities beyond the classroom.
