Biology Homework

  August 19-20
Find an appropriate video on youtube or some other video search engine that 
displays biology.  The video must be two minutes or less.  On a sheet of 
paper or via email, give me the key words needed to find the video along with 
a short description as to why this video displays biology to you.

from and what is its translation to English? 



9.	What is the name of the monomers that makes up proteins?  How do they 
form proteins?  What kind of bond do they create? 
10.	Give three examples of proteins in the human body and what they form 
or what their function is.  





11.	Why do proteins fold and what role does their folding play in their 
function? 








12.	What are enzymes and what is their main purpose? 





13.	What does it mean to be denatured?  What is one example of a 
denatured protein? 




14.	7.  Draw a model of an enzyme and two substrates before and after the 
enzyme has catalyzed them.  Label the enzyme, substrates and active sites.
