Meg Underwood teaches Upper School U.S. and World history, and is originally
from Shaker Heights, Ohio. She earned her B.A. from Cornell University, in
Anthropology and Archaeology. While at Cornell she was a member of the NCAA
Division I Women’s Varsity Crew Team and Kappa Delta sorority. Next she
received her M.A. in Archaeology as well as a Teaching degree from the
University of New Mexico. While at UNM she was a member of the Maxwell Museum
Board of Directors and a Resident Advisor in the dorms. She has been involved
in archaeological digs in Ohio, New York, New Mexico, and Cortona, Italy. She
has worked with the U.S. Forest Service as an archaeologist in both the
Lincoln and the Gila National Forests. She was also a Social Studies teacher
in Moreno Valley, California. She also enjoys, hiking, skiing, running, and a
good book.
