Homework is very important practice of the concepts we are learning in
class. Each morning, students will write their homework assignments in
their planners.
Because it is so important, and because we review it in class on a daily
basis, homework is to be turned in the next day after it is assigned. It
will usually consist of three different assignments. If it is not turned in
the morning it is due, the student will have to redo it during recesses.
Also, students are required to read aloud to an adult for at least 20
minutes each night and to complete and turn in a reading log each Wednesday.
If no homework is turned in, or no reading log is turned in, a letter
written by the student and it will be sent home to be signed by the parents
and returned to class.
No homework will be assigned on Fridays or before a holiday.
