Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week. There will be no school this
Thursday and Friday to accomodate our meetings. Please let your presence be
known at the door so I do not run over into your alloted time. I look forward
to seeing you!
Author Study Projects are due Monday--March 2, 2009! This includes: an author
biography; venn-diagram;three reading response journal entries, and a final
presentation.
The Revolutionary Village is coming! It will run from March 16-March 18th.
More details are coming. Please read the note I sent home in last weeks'
Friday Folder (2/20/09). We need your help in order to make this experience a
success!
Please come to our parent meeting on March 10th at 6:30 PM when we will share
the curriculum for our upcoming unit on human growth and develpoment. We ask
that you leave the kids at home that evening.
This week we will begin our D.A.R.E. program which is presented through the
Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office. It is a tradition here at D.E. to have
this program each year and we are so fortunate to have them coming to work
with our students. Please ask your student about what they are learning
duirng the course of the program.
