All 12 assignments below will be worked on in class and due on specific dates throughout our reading of the novel.  If you are absent for any of them you must make it up for make-up/absent work.

Create a timeline of  10 major events in Ch. 1-5 that you consider the most important.  For each timeline event include:  

1.Label/phrase

2.Visual art design. Include color and neatness counts!!!

Draw a visual design of the Seam where Katniss lives with her family. Include:

1. (10) major visual details that are described in the novel. 2. Next to each design write a brief quote with page # that describes it.

 

When Prim is chosen, Katniss gives herself up for reaping in front of the entire country. Design a collage including:

2. Write 1 descriptive adjective next to each detail to represent Katniss’ physical/ emotional state.

Choose your favorite metaphor from Ch. 1-5 of the novel and represent the comparison by including:
